The excitement at the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) multipurpose hall was palpable as students thronged in to witness the 3rd edition of Youth Leadership Series (YLS), convened by Nigeria’s foremost financial institution, Stanbic IBTC Bank Plc.
The event was tagged ‘Techriculture’ because it focused on agriculture and technology.
Guests at the panel session were Samson Ogbole, CEO of Farm Lab; Yewande Kassim, founder of Wandeville Media and Seun and Seyi Abolaji, co-founders of the Wilson’s Juice Company. This session was anchored by Davida Echetabu, Private Clients Wealth Advisor, Stanbic IBTC Pension Managers Limited.
As an event targeted at the teeming youth population in Nigeria, YLS is a platform where experts in various fields are hosted to share experiences and mentor members of the audience. Participants were highly impressed with the success story of each panelist.
At the masterclass, participants were mentored and taught how to identify problems in a sector and provide solutions to them.
The event ended with an electrifying performance from the eccentric Nigerian singer and songwriter, WurlD.
Apart from the knowledge gained at the event, many attendees also walked away with gift items such as phones and airtime. The lucky winners were picked through a raffle draw.
