Abuja wears new look for Buhari’s inauguration

Preparations are in top gear for the inauguration of President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term in office.

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has renovated the Eagle Square, venue of the swearing-in ceremony, to international standard, considering the calibre of foreign visitors invited for the event.

Our correspondent, who went round the nation’s capital, observed that from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport through to the City Gate, Nigerian flag adorn the Umaru Musa Yar’Adua expressway.  The City Gate has also been repainted by Julius Berger PLC.

The FCTA transport secretariat has also been putting finishing touches to the repairs of the streetlights within the capital city.

Findings revealed that visiting presidents and other invited dignitaries will start arriving the country as from today.

The city of Abuja is looking bright and beautiful as some residents were also seen posing in front of solidarity banners while others took to the streets to sell All Progressives Congress (APC) regalia.

President Buhari will be sworn in at the Eagles Square on Wednesday.

Findings revealed that security operatives will be issuing guidelines on the forthcoming swearing-in.
