APC Punished During Osun Poll For Sacrilege Committed Against Bola Ige
Omisore, who was at the time Osun state’s deputy governor, was charged with murdering Ige.
Omisore was apprehended and arrested in connection with Ige’s murder after his impeachment in 2002, but he vehemently denied any involvement.
In an interview with Channels Television, Soyinka claimed that the outcome of the Osun poll demonstrated that APC had been penalized for the sacrilegious act.
He declared it astounding that the APC would elevate a man accused of killing Ige to the position of executive.
However, the Nobel laureate omitted to mention the APC member’s name.
