I often refer to Lagos life as a daily hustle and bustle life, a life of minimal rest.
Lagos is one of the most populated states in Nigeria and It has the highest population density of Nigeria’s states.
Lagos was initially named “Ipinle Eko” before the Portuguese named it Lagos.
A life of a Lagos citizen is a life of no rest imagine waking up around 5:00 am going to the busstop, fighting for BRT bus, facing the traffic on the road, before getting to work. Most times after that day stress they will still face that same traffic back home (most people who can’t face it ends up trekking a long distance till the traffic is relieved )
Lagos is a state bless with all manners of things (example are the beaches, the museum and a lot of other tourist center )
Lagos is a place meant for only smart people if you’re not smart enough you might get duped. A place where young children start struggling for money at a very young age ( this even applies to some rich kids).
A lot of lagosians posses different characters no matter how gentle you might be there will always be someone to provoke you either in the busstop in the bus at your working place or even when you get home
It’s hard for most people in Lagos to live a sin free day especially those that leaves for work
I could remember some times ago someone once told me ” you can’t be normal and live in Lagos State”. Then I got to realized what he said was true “after seeing a banker fighting for space in a bus”. In Lagos you have to fight back for what belongs to you if not a lot of people will step on your right.
Lagos gain it popularity when it was the capital of Nigeria and ever since then a lot of notable people and places have come from it
